The Watervliet Arsenal Museum is located on the grounds of the historic Watervliet Arsenal in Watervliet, New York. The Museum contains an extensive collection of historical big guns.

', visitorsNotes=>'

The museum is located on the grounds of the Watervliet Arsenal. It is necessary to pass through security at the south gate to visit the museum. There is no admission fee.

Displays include examples of 16 inch battleship gun tubes and various tanks and self propelled guns. There are many artillery pieces on display scattered around the Arsenal grounds, but I am unsure if visitors have access that would permit them to visit these pieces.

', backgroundNote=>'

Originally a supply depot, the Arsenal has served for many years as one of the major cannon manufacturing sites in the United States. The museum is in the "Iron Building", an example of an early prefab industrial building.
